I feel like we do this more to brown girls (coming from personal experience) I’m Latinx and by 13 I was helping my parents with meal preparation, household chores, insurance claims, and taxes. One part of me is grateful that I was able to develop these skills, but a bigger part of me is salty I spent my childhood and teens years worried about shit like this.
